Today, a little update on what’s going on in the vineyard! We explain to you an important stage of the vegetative cycle: the fruit set which marks the beginning of the formation of the fruit (grape berries). 🍇
Preceding flowering, fruit set generally begins around the beginning of June and only lasts about ten days.
During this period the work of the vine continues, such as the lifting of the branches which is called trellising.
It will allow the grapes to be exposed to the sun, which will allow faster drying after periods of rain and optimal ripening.
During this period the vine grows rapidly, up to several centimeters per day !
