At Jau AOP Muscat de Rivesaltes 50 cl
€11.00 TTC
Varietal: 100% Muscat Petits Grains
Terroir: Cuvée from our best vines in the foothills of the Corbières on black schistose marls.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested at maturity and then pressed directly upon arrival at the cellar. The alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperature in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The particularity of this wine is the “mutage” (addition of alcohol in the must), which stops the fermentation process. This produces a wine whose sweetness is natural; it comes from sugars, derived from grapes, which have not completely fermented. The wine is bottled in the spring.
Tasting: Its color is a beautiful shiny gold. The nose exalts exotic fruits, citrus fruits and acacia honey. Lots of volume and smoothness on the palate, aromas of Williams pear and other white-fleshed fruits.
Food and wine pairing: Ideal at 10°C, can be enjoyed as an aperitif, with foie gras, Roquefort, frozen desserts, fruit tarts and brioches.
